ED2011 1/5 Reviews ED2011 Comedy Reviews
Eric Gudmunsen Ryanair Lost My Baby (God Bless Them) (Eric Gudmunsen/ Laughing Horse Free Festival)
By Harriet Dodd | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Have you ever been into the wrong pub and got cornered by some loud, drunken bigot who insists on buying you drinks? You want to leave but you’re afraid of antagonising him. This is the feeling I had throughout this entire show. Originally, I thought I would open this review with some funny opening line about budget airlines, but the reality is that Eric seems to have gripes about most of the progressions of modernity and its “ludicrous PC comedy” to which he gives the finger. He makes a lot of puns and the delivery is staccato, although the songs just about stop you getting a headache. If your life depresses you, maybe this guy will help you out.
