Mitch Benn has so much to say and so little time to say it that he speaks at light-speed, blinks once a minute and has put some of his messages into song format. From Religion to Doctor Who, and explaining the cruelty of the world to a three-year-old, Benn’s unsurpassed wit covers the whole of existence – and that’s before his demonstration of the sublime things he can do with an iPhone. An old hand at the comedy game, he knows his songs, his audience and his art so well; he tells us the things he didn’t say and never rests on one topic for too long, managing to complain about the world while remaining constantly upbeat.
