Tiffany Stevenson: Cave Woman (Tiffany Stevenson)

By | Published on Tuesday 30 August 2011

A charming performer who offers anecdotes and observations, Tiffany Stevenson is a delight to watch but ultimately deals in sketchy material. The most interesting element of her set is the revulsion she has for the word “chav”; angered in the way that the term is creating social stigma and separation, there is real emotion behind her words – although she has no trouble having similar prejudices about the wealthy. Using the cave woman theme as a conceit, the show is supposedly about Stevenson’s choices leading to who she is today; however, it seemed to be a very loose skeleton to hang jokes from. As the show concluded, she summed up the show; a tight show shouldn’t require a summary.
