“A gay fantasia on Welsh themes set during a rugby international night in Cardiff. Wales lost, but four gay friends are determined to have a night to remember, whatever the cost.” In Welsh. With English subtitles. As you can imagine, I thought, “Oh god, what have I let myself in for?: But frankly, I was bowled over by this production. The hybrid of Welsh and English was surprisingly successful, adding layers of humour and complexity to the script, in a touching production full of depth and emotion. The courageous actors deliver raw and real performances with tangible passion, in this bold – and successful – move to bring a Welsh language play to the Fringe. A must see.

St. George’s West, Aug 20 – 28, 11.45am (1.30pm) £8.00 – £10.00, fpp276.
