Sesame Street Live – Elmo Makes Music (Sesame Street Live)
By Lisa Clarkson | Published on Tuesday 21 August 2012
Most years, The Meadows Big Top is home to the fabulous feathered, leathered and laced first family of the Fringe, the Ladyboys Of Bangkok. But this year it also hosts another famous family: the Sesame Street brood, feathered, furred and every bit as fabulous. Big Bird; Bert and Ernie; Oscar the Grouch; Cookie Monster and of course Elmo were joined by newer characters, the sweetest “princess in training” Abby Caddaby and Elmo’s baby sister Zoe, dancing and singing in hyper-colour costumes. Our favourite songs were the more high-energy ones, such as the Numbers Song and the ABC song, but all were lots of fun. Paced with the children in mind, the show reached a suitably hyper, bounce-like-Tigger ending.
Meadows Theatre Big Top, 5-12 Aug, times vary.
