Barry Cryer And Ronnie Golden – Going Gaga
By Emma Obank | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
The Fringe isn’t just about seeing what’s new and fresh. Cryer and Golden are definitely old, but they gave a golden performance and rocked the walls of the Gilded Balloon. Veterans of the entertainment business, the duo proved they didn’t need zimmer frames, as Golden tore the house down with an over-the-head guitar solo that would give Hendrix a run for his money. They performed an array of witty songs, taking the piss out of their old age and inability to control their bladders. The audience clearly adored them, applauding throughout the performance and laughing out loud at their ability to make silly rhymes. Incontinence and all; Golden and Cryer have still got it.
