Jenny Fawcett (Live Nation and MHA)

By | Published on Friday 24 August 2012

Gawky, bizarre, tap-dancing fanatic Jenny Fawcett is an unusual character. With an uncanny memory for names, she picked on many of us individually for tap-dancing lessons, role-play and general embarrassment. Yet even those singled out couldn’t help laughing along with her, as she is so bold in making a fool of herself. The set recounts her experiences with a past crush, from their first meeting to the restraining order he allegedly took out on her. The hilarious thing about Fawcett is her sincerity as she peers out over her geeky glasses, hands gesturing wildly with sweat-inducing eye contact, and yet the stories are so outrageous and surreal as to make you double up with laughter.

Pleasance Courtyard, 1-27 Aug (not 13), 12.50pm.
