Stephanie Laing And Martin Croser – Greens! (Stephanie Laing / Martin Croser / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Anna McDonald | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Watching Martin Croser and Stephanie Laing’s show is uncomfortable. Both appear nervous, fail to interact with the audience and have a set list of jokes written on their hands which they refer to frequently, giving the impression that they are completely unprepared. Croser performs the first half, mumbling his way through his list at a completely inaudible level, and it’s hard to find the comedy in his morbid choice of topics. Laing works through her list like it’s a set of bullet points- there’s no flow in the set and her bizarre ditties set to the melodies of Christmas songs offer no reprieve. Despite the fact it’s a joint show, there is no interaction between the two. A waste of time.
The Cabaret Voltaire, 4-17 August, 5.05pm.
