Tim Honnef – Life

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

Tim Honnef’s performance includes amateur poetry, diary entries from when he was 5-years-old, and a weathered photo of an old man who is apparently trying to ruin things (though Honnef really didn’t need a make-believe ghost to make this show too awkward and strange to be comical). He seems to rely far too much on his zany personality to get laughs: pulling people on stage to pose them around the old man’s photo and opening with a story about his mysterious third testicle. When a toy car with a picture of a baby attached came out from under the stage, too late and without purpose, I realised that despite a few comic moments, Honnef’s show was mostly just unusual.
