Pick Me Up (Pick Me Up)
By Andrew Pollard | Published on Saturday 10 August 2013
You know a show’s good when you never want it to end. Ever. But before getting carried away with gushing adjectives, I should inform you that ‘Pick Me Up’ is a cleverly connected four-strong sketch show with a greater than average number of stabbings and pirouettes. Its ideas vary from the cartoonish to the satirical and are performed with such a sense of energy and fun that if you’re not shrieking, shuddering or even crying with laughter, you may be required to check your pulse. A kinetic show that transformed the audience into a band of raving loons; I can only urge you to acquire a ticket now; these guys are going to be big!
Just the Tonic at The Caves, until 25 Aug (not 13), 7.40pm.
