The Coin-Operated Girl – A Sex Workers Real Life Revelations of Frivolous Fornications! (Miranda Kane / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Ian Freeman | Published on Thursday 22 August 2013
This interesting premise – that a former escort girl would share her humorous and bizarre experiences in the sex trade – is indeed engaging, though it did flag at times due to a lack of jokes. The stories Miranda Kane came out with were occasionally funny but always interesting, and if you’ve had even a passing fancy to discover how the sex industry works then this will undeniably hit the spot. The multimedia aspects were well done and helped showcase some amusingly odd profiles from the sex trade. There was also a compelling insight into what a lot of men enjoy near the end of the show, based on her experiences. It was pretty frivolous but also rather fun.
The Dram House, until 24 Aug, 2.15 pm.
