Tim FitzHigham – Challenger (Get Comedy)
By Sarah Richardson | Published on Wednesday 14 August 2013
Ten years ago, Tim FitzHigham rowed 160 miles in a paper boat. He went on to enter a horse race without a horse and complete a series of Morris-dancing marathons. This year, such dubious successes were rewarded with his own BBC TV show, but with a caveat: rather than self-set challenges, Auntie would determine his new tasks for him. In FitzHigham’s words: “Never since the Muppets has a Gonzo been given such a chance to shine”. And shine he does, in an endearingly dishevelled, characteristically manic way, in this fast-paced retelling of the surreal events that followed. This is FitzHigham on top form: witty, energetic, and quite probably mad. See him while he’s still in one piece.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 26 Aug (not 14), 7.30pm.
