Xaablargh The Conqueror’s Guide To Humons (No Fixed Abode / Free Festival)
By Priyanka Raval | Published on Thursday 22 August 2013
Do not be put off by the title: Xaablargh the Conqueror’s Guide to Humons (which I realise sounds like it belongs on CBeebies) is by far the best comedy show I have seen at the Fringe thus far. The talent displayed by this group is out of this world. The performances were excellent, it was impeccably well structured, and the icing on the cake of this comedic feast was the script, every line of which was mind-blowingly brilliant. More innuendo, double-entendres and puns than you can shake a stick at, this had me thoroughly entertained and in stitches from start to finish. No Fixed Abode offer something way better, much funnier, than the sketch shows currently on television at the moment, and are definitely ones to watch.
Laughing Horse @ The Phoenix, until 25 Aug, 2.30pm.
