The Rabbie Burns Supper Club (The Rabbie Burns Supper Club)

By | Published on Friday 30 August 2013

‘The Rabbie Burns Supper Club’ is set in what only can only be described as a very grand, slightly 90s attempt at a banquet hall. The staff are nice and the food comes quickly. The vegetarian option is a bit disappointing, but the salmon mousse wrapped in plaice is delicious. The band is good, and though the walk-throughs may be a bit brief for novice ceilidh dancers, there are staff on hand whose chief job appears to be joyfully throwing folk about. All in all this is a very enjoyable evening. There is perhaps less pomp and ceremony than the setting or the advertising might lead you to expect, however there is lots of food, booze, and energetic dancing.

Ghillie Dhu, until 31 Aug (not 19, 20, 22, 23, 24,25, 27, 28, 29), 6.30pm.
